At Helen’s Bay Organic we’re passionate about growing food that’s good for you and good for the land. From our coastal farm beside the Belfast Lough in Helen’s Bay, we harvest a wide range of fresh seasonal vegetables.
All certified organic and grown without chemicals. Food grown to organic standards is also about addressing biodiversity, pollution and climate change challenges.

Over 30 years of (organic) experience
Helen’s Bay Organic has been providing organic veg box delivery in Northern Ireland for over 30 years, and our focus has always been on sustainability, quality, and trust. When certain crops don’t suit our climate or soil, we work with other local organic farms — only using imports when there’s truly no local option. That way, every box is filled with the very best.
Outside our free delivery area? Not a bother, you can still get our veg!
We now deliver organic veg nationwide across Northern Ireland for just £6.60, so whether you live in Belfast, Derry, Lisburn, Newry, Omagh, or a small town in between, you can enjoy the taste of vegetables freshly harvested by the sea.

Over 30 Years of Experience
Helen’s Bay Organic was founded in 1991 by John McCormick, one of the very first certified organic growers in Northern Ireland. The farm sits on 20 acres of fertile land by the sea, and is licensed to EU organic standards. What began as a pioneering project has grown into a trusted name for organic veg delivery in Northern Ireland, serving thousands of households with healthy, fresh, local food.

John McCormick
Founder
John’s passion for growing stretches back decades. He worked in estate gardens and several Camphill communities , played a role in setting up the Organic Centre and has dedicated his life to sustainable horticulture. You’ll usually find him walking the fields, tinkering with his tractors, or putting his years of hands-on knowledge into practice. His experience and dedication are the roots of Helen’s Bay Organic’s success.
David Milway
Head Gardener
David lives for growing. After his trademark strong morning coffee, he’s straight into the fields and polytunnels, working tirelessly to keep the crops thriving. His energy and innovative approaches keep the farm moving forward, and he leads the gardening team with passion and commitment.
When he’s not out among the vegetables, David is often found with a book in hand, he’s as much a reader as a grower.

Luke Heron
Digital & Admin
Luke keeps the digital side of the farm humming. He manages the website, box scheme logistics, delivery and packing sheets, marketing, and customer communications. He’s the one keeping the “virtual” cogs turning so the veg keeps moving. He’s usually the one replying to all your emails and requests !
To balance all the digital work, Luke works as a Medical Herbalist and enjoys spending his time growing and harvesting plants for his clinic.
The Packing Crew
Behind every organic vegetable box that leaves the farm are John and Hamish, who have been carefully packing produce for years. Their consistency and attention to detail ensure that customers always receive fresh, high-quality vegetables.
The Drivers
Getting fresh organic veg to doorsteps across Northern Ireland requires a dedicated driving team. Phil, David and Keith keep the wheels turning across our free delivery zones, making sure your orders arrive safe and sound.
